How it works and what it stores
A private test for invited families. Free during the two-week test; we ask for no payment details.
What it does
- You paste a link to a recipe video or a recipe web page, paste recipe text, or add photos of a recipe. The app turns it into steps with time, temperature and speed for your machine: a Thermomix, a Monsieur Cuisine, a Bosch Cookit, a Mycook or a Mambo.
- You can send the recipe to your own Cookidoo account, or cook it from the cooking screen in this app.
- The steps are written by an AI model (Claude, by Anthropic). It can get quantities, times and temperatures wrong. Read the recipe before you cook, and use your own judgement on anything that matters for food safety.
Who runs it
- Run by Jerker Westerholm, hello@notpastaagain.com.
- We are not affiliated with any machine maker. Thermomix and Cookidoo are trademarks of the Vorwerk group; Monsieur Cuisine and Silvercrest of Lidl; Cookit of Bosch; Mycook of Taurus; Mambo of Cecotec. They are used here only to say what the app works with.
- Questions and help: support@notpastaagain.com. Anything about your data: privacy@notpastaagain.com.
Recipes and Cookidoo
- Recipes reach Cookidoo as a share link: the app publishes your recipe from our own Cookidoo account, and you add it to your Created recipes with one tap in Cookidoo, signed in as yourself. Your Cookidoo login is never asked for.
What we store
- Your invite, as a scrambled value that cannot be turned back into the code, and the name we gave your family.
- If you signed up with your email: the address, as the key to your account and for the one message when paid plans open, until you delete the account; the sign-in links you asked for, which expire in 15 minutes.
- Your last 30 recipes: the converted version, your edited version, and the Cookidoo link once sent, so you can cook them from the cooking screen.
- Counts of what was used: when a recipe was converted, whether it came from a video, web page, photo or text, which site the video or page came from, whether you edited it before sending, whether a step failed and its error message, how long it took, what the AI cost, and when you signed in. The recipe text is not part of these counts.
- Your answer to "Did it cook fine?" if you give one, and the line you write about what went wrong, if you write one.
- If you add a photo of your dish after cooking and tick the box: that photo together with the recipe it belongs to, used to improve the recipe maker and to compare results. Nothing is stored without the box ticked, and you can ask for the photos to be deleted at any time.
- If you joined the waitlist on the front page: your email address, the language of the page and the link code you came from, until the opening message has been sent or you ask us to delete it.
- One cookie, which keeps you signed in and is deleted when you sign out, and your language choice, kept on your phone. No tracking, no analytics, no advertising.
The legal part, still in plain words
- Responsible for your data: Reelpot is the registered trade name of Jerker Westerholm, Aapelinkatu 9, 02230 Espoo, Finland. Business ID 3664893-3. Write to privacy@notpastaagain.com for anything about it.
- Why we may use your data: to run the service you asked for (your invite, your recipes, the usage counts, the sign-in cookie); because you agreed (the photo of your dish, the waitlist email); and to keep the service working and safe (error logs, limits).
- How long: recipes until you delete them or they drop off your last 30; the invite and the counts until the test ends or you ask; a dish photo until you ask; a waitlist address until the opening message is sent; server logs 30 days.
- Services that handle your data on our behalf, under contracts with us: Hetzner (hosting, Germany), Anthropic (the recipe maker, United States, under its data-processing terms for EU customers) and Pixabay (picture search, through our server). Vorwerk is not one of them: it receives a recipe only when you choose to send it, into your own Cookidoo account, under Vorwerk's own terms.
- Your rights: to see, correct, delete or receive your data, and to object; ask at privacy@notpastaagain.com. You can also complain to the Finnish data protection authority, the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman, tietosuoja.fi.
- The terms of use are on their own page: Terms of use.
What leaves our server
- The recipe text, the video's caption and spoken words, the video stills (unless you untick "Also read the text shown in the video") and the photos you add are sent to Anthropic to be converted.
- A video you link to is downloaded to our server, listened to there, and deleted as soon as its caption, spoken words and stills have been taken from it.
- A web page you link to is read by our server once, to take the recipe text, and its main picture is fetched once.
- A recipe you send to Cookidoo goes to Vorwerk, into your own account.
- Nothing is sold or shared with anyone else.
Limits during the test
- 10 conversions a week for each family, and 15 video reads.
- Videos up to 3 minutes.
- Up to 50 recipe web pages a day.
- One video is processed at a time, so you may wait a few minutes when others are converting.
Removing your data
- "Delete everything stored for us" also deletes your recipes here and any photos of your dishes. Recipes already in Cookidoo stay in Cookidoo.
- To remove your invite and the usage counts as well, tell Jerker Westerholm, hello@notpastaagain.com or write to privacy@notpastaagain.com.
